My professional career started in 1990 as a physics teacher at The Hampton High School in St Elizabeth. In 1991, I was offered a job as a mathematics and Science teacher at a private school in the Bahamas. I took up the appointment in January 1991. For the next 26 years, I worked in the Bahamas as a teacher of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics (II) Head of the Mathematics and Science Department, and (III) Curriculum Coordinator. My interest in curriculum studies and more specifically the evaluation of the curriculum led me to enroll in a graduate degree program at The Northern Caribbean University specializing in Curriculum and Instruction. This course of study had given me insight into the curriculum and curriculum-related disciplines. After 26 years in the school system in the Bahamas, I returned to Jamaica and took up the post of Principal at Cornwall College. Presently I serve as Senior Education Officer for science at the Core Curriculum Unit. My life verse is: And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to his purpose, Romans 8 v 28..
